A true driving experience
I have an Audi A8L 3.2 V6 petrol engine and, personally, I would say I have made the right choice. I “moved away” from BMW because service and attitude, here in UK, has been really appalling (it feels like that they are doing you a favour). Complaints sent to BMW UK and Germany only found deaf ears. I must also add that while BMW cars look good and drive well, they seem to suffer from a number of weaknesses. My choice was BMW 745, Mercedes Benz S class and Audi A8. I was also looking for a Limousine model so to have more legroom in the back. The BMW 745 was not really attractive and I made my decision not to go back to BMW. The S class from M-Benz looks really nice with a spacious and bright interior. However the S class does not give any satisfaction to the driver. It is a big car and if feels like a big car, somewhat goofy. It is the sort of car suitable for a chauffeur service and no fun to drive. I cannot find (so far) any faults with the Audi A8. It is roomy and comfortable, fast and quiet. Doing 130mph on the German autobahn feels like doing 80mph on most other cars. The boot is really big with even more space next to the tyre. All the controls are easy to use and reach even if one does need to read the manuals more than once. Fun to drive in town, on country lanes and on the motorway – it handles like any small sporty car and the Quattro is most definitely a nice bonus compared to other makes. It is not so small when one tries to park but parking sensors are useful and a must. Only regret, I didn’t buy the 4.2 cc version.
